Bounties
tl;dr: Bounties are small tasks that reward things you'd be doing anyways. There are three quick, five daily and three weekly ones at any time. Every bounty pays Crystite and XP and adds bounty points, which unlock reward crates. Open the list with H and select Bounties, or go through the dashboard and Activities.
The Three Kinds

The rewards are scaled to the level of your battleframe and to the time a bounty is expected to take. Every player gets their own set of daily bounties, so not the whole server ends up at the same three spots.
Bounty Points and Crates
On top of its own reward every completed bounty adds bounty points, which fill the bar at the top of the bounty window. The bar has milestones, and at each of them a crate can be claimed with the Claim Rewards button. The later the milestone, the better the crate: modules, Crystite, tinkering parts, consumables, equipment, key fragments, legendary fragments and a few epic items, which aren't available anywhere else.
Rare Bounties
Now and then one of your bounties is a rare one. You'll recognize it by the effect running around its border. It asks for a bit more and pays a lot better, both in amount and in the quality of the items.
Group Bounties
When you select the group bounty option, a random event in your zone gets picked for you and your squad and is marked on the map. That can be any wandering encounter or ARES mission. Completing it gives bounty points, but no items of its own. You still get the regular rewards of the event though, and your quick, daily and weekly bounties count while you're at it.
Rerolling
If you're stuck with a bounty you don't want to do, the list can be rerolled for a small amount of Red Beans. Personally, I'd just wait for the next day, most of them complete themselves while you're doing something else.
