Battleframes are at the core of an ARES Operator’s arsenal, determining both the role that the Operator plays in the world, and their functionality in combat. The battleframe serves as an extension of its pilot, allowing them to survive in the harsh environments of New Eden while battling against the countless dangers that exist. Each battleframe is designed with specific combat or support purposes, though the Operator’s choice of frame does not limit them to one role. ARES Operators are able to switch freely from one battleframe class to another at any time in order to fit the needs of any situation.
Assault-class battleframes are designed to balance both offensive and defensive capabilities in an all-in-one chassis. They utilize different types of plasma cannons and use their balance of speed, maneuverability, firepower, and defense to deliver an even-keeled attack.
Dreadnaught-class battleframes are known throughout New Eden for their unrivaled ability to take a pounding. But they give as good as they can take, with large, powerful weaponry designed to slice through enemy combatants.
The Engineer-class battleframe specializes in providing battlefield support through resupplying allies and setting up defensive perimeters. Machine gun turrets and energy barriers are only the tip of the iceberg for this resourceful class of battleframes.
The Recon-class battleframe is a powerful, versatile medium-to-long range combat support chassis. While the Recon-class frame is capable of providing resupply support, their strength lies in dispatching enemies from afar, keeping them safe from the front lines.
The Biotech-class battleframe is much more than a simple combat medic. Using their many different on-board medical systems, Biotech-class battleframes can quickly revive the incapacitated, rejuvenate a whole squad of allies, or engage in chemical warfare with clouds of deadly poisons and toxic ordinance.
